Which Alpines? Just saying Alpine itself is pretty vague.

i have alpine type-s interiors along with an alpine deck and 2 12 inch alpine type-e subs powered by an 800W sony xplod amp. I have nothing with alpine it just happened that way. my interiors sound clear though.

I've had Alpine Type-S before and they sound ok without an amp, but noticeably better with one. If you're not going to amp them, look at some Infinity's... They have a much higher (in general) sensitivity ratio. I've got them in right now and love them!

i agree. amp the speakers. go for type R subs. i find them tighter. x is overkill and mainly for spl anyway.

how are you integrating a deck into a 2011 dash??
where are you putting it and what are you doing with the stock screen?
