Do you have to pay for Tech Service Bulletins?

Postby Vividcard » Mon Jun 18, 2012 9:59 am

Quick question, new owner of a 2005 SE, I was just curious, I have been getting a sqeak when I am turning left in the truck, especially when I am going over a bump of any kind, after prowling pretty hard on the forums I've determined there is a service bulletin for this issue, I was wondering if this is a repair they (the stealership) fix for free or if its something I would need to pay for. Any Ideas?

Yes you do, they aren't warranty.

Technical service bulletins are realeased to aid technicians in diagnosing a particular concern and/or providing them with a "fix" or updated information. They are not campaigns or recalls, which in most cases are "free," but may have time limitations to the free repair.
