bug goo if not washed soon can eat all the way in to the base paint.

no matter how much you rub or wax, its not gonna look like new.
from the looks of it, it already ate thru the clear coat, and lets hope it stopped at that.

you can probly get it fixed however without a full repaint.
i spent the day at the Nissan workshop watching them repair my accident.
there is some kind of polish they used on my car that sort of melts the paint around the spot thats scratched or color faded, and they just rub it until in blends. but after that a full respray of clear coat.
