What are my options for avoiding catastrophe in my 08' ? Thanks guys

I've only heard of a few 08's so far with the trans cooler failure. You're two main options are (1) to bypass the integral cooler in the radiator and use the factory auxilary cooler only (which cools the fluid but doesn't provide the other benefit of an integral cooler, which is to warm the fluid and help maintain the temperature in the 175-200 degree F. preferred operating temperature for ATF, or (2) replace the radiator assy. with a new one. The second option doesn't gaurantee you will never have an issue with the radiator integral cooler, but it does replace the original Nissan radiator which has been prone to problems in the 2005 and later Pathfinders (up to 2010 if we go by the Nissan extended warranty).
