I did that smj and nothing amiss there. Its got me stumped. I've read that going through a car wash with the air con on and drawing air from the outside can allow water to pool in the windscreen vents, but I'd have thought that rain would also do the same and thus the vent,s would have some form of drain. Anyway, Monday morning will see if the Nissan agent has any ideassmj999smj wrote:Might want to pull out the cabin air filters and check them.
Nice tip, didn't know there was such a cleaner. Will get some soon for my 2001 car, the PF doesn't need anything like that yet.DanJetta wrote:Get a bottle of professional auto air conditioner deodorizer from an auto parts store. I just used it on my wife's Jetta and it worked really well. It kills bacteria, deodorizes and cleans the whole duct system.
The process takes about 20 minutes. You roll down the windows, remove the cabin air filter, put the AC on high and spray the bottle into the air intakes. Your car will smell like cleaner for a few days but should be good as new after.
I bought it from Salvo Auto Parts because Advance Auto didn't have it. It's like $12 or something.
