Where it rubs

Postby S14sleeper » Tue Nov 21, 2006 4:02 am

The 285s rub on the inside corner of mudflaps. I had this setup without a lift and it drove me nuts. Ended up taking off the 285- back to stock. Probably goin with 275/70/17 is ideal with no lifting involved. Plus it also killed me in mileage and i could feel the diff in power loss with such big tires.

Don't want to rain on anybody's parade, here, but my local dealer (a national chain) gave me 300 beans for my General Grabber AW's w/250 miles on them, as trade-in on a set of Michelin Cross Terrains. Still cost me an arm and a leg, but I believed it was worth it to get out from under the General Sliders. Only time and miles will tell.
