i added the lift first, then bags, then tires. i wasn't sure the 285/65s would fit without the lift.
however adding the bags and keeping them at ~30psi will get you an extra ~1/2in lift in the back (at least it did for me). however if you're going to keep them at that pressure for the majority of the time, i'd get an alignment done (and get the alignment done with the bags at whatever you deem is "regular" pressure).
and yes, getting the lift will "even out" the look of the larger tires in the wheel well.
