2008 SE Looking to put on LE wheels

Postby sdg1963 » Mon Jan 06, 2014 3:20 pm

So I have a 2008 SE and am looking at the LE wheels. I think the Nissan Frontier wheels are the same as the PF SE...is that correct?
They look so much more attractive, and this may be what i will do when i get snow tires next year. My question is will the LE wheels fit on the SE model? Im supposing it would as long as they are 17" wheels. Any comments/advice?
Also anyone know where I can get these in Canada? Looking for a deal, of course. :-)

Thanks in advance.

All the R51 wheels are interchangeable. R50 and WD21 wheels will not fit as they have a larger bolt circle.

Also, the Fronty & Pathy LE's (SV's from newer years) are 18".

But yes, 6x4.5" bolt pattern for all Xterras/Pathy's/Frontiers of the same year, typically from 2005 and on.

Keep in mind that the 18" wheels will make your ride rougher. I have them and when I drive over a piece of gravel, my butt flies 4" out of my seat. The 16" rims have a lot more cushion (because there's more rubber).

Imagine a 245 40 18. Now that will send you in the air with just a granule of dirt. Especially with lowering springs and adjustable struts. That's what my Maxima has and the Pathfinder is nothing in comparison, even with 18's.

In college I had a GTI like that – with a 3" drop and racing springs. It felt like your spine was connected directly to a jackhammer. I'd have to sweep and vacuum the highway before driving on it.
