Changing fuel filter

I have pathfinder 2008 and the fuel quality is so bad here in Iraq ,,I would like to ask about the specified intervals of changing fuel filter ,, is it replaced separately or concomitantly with the fuel pump . Can anybody help me pls???

Fuel filter is part of the fuel pump on all Pathfinders I believe. I think best option is a Seafoam type fuel additive.

It is V6 petrol (gasoline)

It is V6 petrol (gasoline)
Then the other poster is correct, the only filter is a screen inside the fuel tank, and it is not considered serviceable...

Any advice regarding improving performance despite bad fuel quality???

Depending on your current mileage it might be time for new spark plugs, cleaning throttle body, new air filter properly inflated tires. General maintenance should bring it back up unless you have something mechanically wrong.

Is there a specific interval for changing the fuel pump???

It may be consuming lots of fuel but I doubt you are feeling bad fuel ECONOMY.....isn't gas like 10 cents a gallon in Iraq?

I have a problem with vehicle performance not fuel economy ,, I feel of poor acceleration and spark knock

I can only think of adding a in line fuel filter to help prevent dirty fuel from entering your system. I just would not know where to begin in recomending one for the Path and if it is recomended to do so.

Check out the Nissan Pathfinder Off- Road Association, at this address: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/

Or look for NPORA, if that doesn't work for some reason.

They have tons of helpful advice, and are really ncie people. I've been getting info on my 1995 Path, and it's been awesome (and I never get to go off-road, even). Good luck!

Not on WD21's, there is a replaceable fuel filter on those
