QX56 Timing Chain Issues

Ran across some discussion about the QX56 and apparently the '11-'13 has a major problem with the timing chain similar to some of the Pathfinders. Some people are being charged $4,000+ for the repair if it's out of warranty. This is the first I had heard of it but just wondering how it could cost so much? Looks like about a 16 hour job (at most) so $4,000 just seems off the mark.

Didn't see that repair listed on the site. I know some folks had said the dealer only charged them $2,000 or so and others were $4,000-$5,000. Just seems like a huge spread for what was described as the same repair.
