Hello I have a1991 pathfinder Im trying to get more power and torque so I was thinking of swapping my engine for a 300ZX engine any pointers or advice in would greatly apriciated

Assuming you are talking about the Z31 300ZX (you don't specify), they are both VG30E engines and there really isn't much difference between the two engines as far as power and torque unless you plan on going with the turbo version. Pretty much all of the things that you can do to boost power in the 300ZX engine you can do to the Pathfinder. You can install more aggressive cams, install headers, improve the flow of the intake and exhaust. A common engine upgrade for the older Pathy is to swap the engine for the larger displacement VG33E from the R50 Pathfinder or Frontier. That gains about 10HP and a little torque, still nothing to write home about, but a fairly easy swap.

Yes actually I had looked at either the VG33 or the 300zx engine Tubo but Yes after doing a little more digging the VG 33 may be a better choice ,larger displacement cams better intake and a Turbo would help Thanks for the feedback. Now I need a good machine shop and a parts supplier
