Battery cable/ground corrosion prevention tip

Instead of using the littel felt circles and grease, just get the connections clean and hit 'em with a quick shot of clear coat spray paint!

How long can this hold up in the engine bay? I've always used Permatex Battery Protector spray (the purple stuff) with decent results.

I don't think coating the battery posts with anything that may hinder conductivity is a good idea.
