Lugnuts?

Postby porksoda » Mon Jun 09, 2014 11:24 pm

I was wondering what lug nuts everyone is running?
I ask because I took of my wheels a while back and it was a pain to thread the lug nuts back on.
They just seem so short and have no shoulder on them so I couldn't just put them on a deep socket to thread them on.

I saw a few options on eBay but most say they won't work with factory alloy wheels.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I like these because they are nice and simple. Also they have a nice shoulder on them, but if you read the description you'll see where it says they won't work with factory alloy wheels.

Hate to revive old thread...

I've searched and can not find an answer. Can I use any type of lug nut? I'd like to replace mine but don't know if there is a certain size. I've looked at summit racing and see some there, but not sure if they would fit correctly. Thanks.

I don't have them on my Pathys because there's nothing wrong with the ones I have, but I always liked Gorilla lugnuts. Well made, lifetime warranty and a ton of selection!

I still haven't purchased any lugnuts yet, but I am going to buy some soon. Just checking in again before I purchase a set of them.

I am wondering what kind of lugnuts everyone is running?

On my pathfinder it has the factory lugnuts and factory Off-Road wheels, but I hate that they are so short and have no shoulder on them to use a deep socket easily.

I am mainly seen that there are 2 different kinds of aftermarket lugnuts which are:

Acorn(no shoulder)

and

Acorn Bulge(has shoulder)

These are how my factory lugnuts look:

I totally forgot to reply to my own thread.

I ordered the lugnuts from the "Lugnut Guys".

These lugnuts are larger then the OEM lugnuts so I was unable to use the factory lugwrench with them. I ended up buying a universal lugwrench from Autozone that has about 4 different size sockets. Fits in with my factory lugwrench kit. You want to keep your OEM lugwrench kit because that's how you remove your spare tire.

Overall I really like the look of these better then the OEM ones. Also they are way easier to take off and put back on.

This is the lugwrench kit I bought at autozone. Sizes it comes with are 3/4 In., 13/16 In., 7/8 In., and 17mm.
