Tire Fitment of Duratracs

Postby dano99 » Thu Jan 14, 2016 6:29 pm

Just wondering if anyone out there is running 275/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs on a stock suspension set up. If so are there any rubbing issues? I plan on doing a 2inch lift but need the tires asap before I can do that. Cheers

Dan

There's a guy in the UK running 265's and he seems to have tons of clearance left. I'm fairly sure I found several members running 275's but I don't have something hard to show you for them.

Very little trimming required if you do the alignment right. I run a true 33 equivalent and have not had any issues.

Running 265/70-R17 Duratracs and have:
- odometer spot-on precise with real speed
- REAR almost whole inch clearance horizontaly to fenders
- FRONT half an inch clearance, which comes down to almost touching fender inlay when wheel is turned outside.
But still not rubbing with stock suspension.

on my 2005 SE 4x4, I've put 265/75/16 Bridgestone REV02s, and they didn't rub suspension components, but definitely rubbed the plastics at full lock. For comparison purposes:

265/70/16 (factory for my 05) - 30.6"
265/75/16 (rev02s) - 31.6"
265/70/17 (labsy) - 31.6"
275/70/17 (dano99) - 32.2" plus another 0.6" in width.

285/75/16 don't rub in the back
They only rub on the front with the plastic inner fender lining which can be fixed with a simple melt mod.
