Nissan Vehicles (old mostly 2000+) equipped with 16 pin OBDII connecter use Consult II protocol over K line (DDL2) for reading data, so normal connections that most of the software make is on ISO9141 protocol (as both protocols work on the same pin#7).
To connect requires a Bluetooth adapter that utilities the ELM327 chip(Available in market) for communication and Nissan software to send special Nissan connection commands (Available free for lite use).So it connects and gives data on andrioid device.
Make sure to use ELM 327 adapter with version 1.4 or 1.5 as some fake chinies adapters do not work( i bought 2 they didnt work but third i bought made from a good company worked-Pathfinder 2003).
