Biggest tires 2013 Pathfinder

Postby arbucks » Sun Mar 06, 2016 1:27 pm

What are the biggest tires anyones managed to get on a 2013 or newer pathfinder?

I was using mine for driving on the beach at the jersey shore last summer and got stuck the last time I went out(was ok the first 5 times), so I was thinking of putting bigger tires on this summer.

I've currently got the stock 235/65R18's on my 2013 SL.

There is a big discussion about driving an R52 on the beach over here: http://www.pathfindertalk.com/forum/14- ... orova.html.

Hope you still have the Pathy. I managed to squeeze in 265/60/18. Required spacers though.

Spacers relate to offset, not tire size. Are you using non-OEM rims?

Yes they do and No I am not. I asked the Service techs at the Stealership about it and he informed me someone tried fitting them before. They encountered rubbing on the control arm and aborted. I figured, correctly, that a bit more space should clear the control arm. The only rubbing I get now is at the rear of the turning wheel to the fender well when holding full-lock.

Why would you want to run those tires if that is occurring?

1) I can't stand the factory stance with the wheels and tires sitting an inch within the body panels.
2) I love the look of a/t tires.
3) I caught the bug and am making it mine.

Besides, I got exactly what I was going for cosmetically with only a minor trade off to functionality. He'll, I've been driving long enough were I can knock out three point turns without hitting full lock.

As they say, different strokes for different folks. Good luck with your R52.
