Just Passed 100k on my 2010

Postby 2010pathfinder » Wed Dec 28, 2016 10:29 pm

Been reading a lot on here so I decided to registrar. I have a 2010 4.0 S 4x4. Pretty much all stock except for some mods. Front 2" curt tow hitch. I use to mount a removable winch and use it for my surf fishing rod rack, new radio, factory cd player died and I wanted aux input anyway. Made my own roof rack cross member to mount a roof rack on which works great for my needs.

I bought it with 30k miles on it was a certified per-owned so it came with 7yrs-100k warranty. I did not do the bypass I figured I would wait until the warranty or miles came close to running out. So at 80k I decided to not do the bypass but just by an high quality aftermarket radiator. My cousin who is high end auto tech installed for next to nothing a case of beer.

So far here is what the Pathy has needed so far

2 sets of tires.

New front breaks and rotors. rear brakes and rotors still have a ton of meat on them no need to replace yet.

New rear shocks and airlift which most people recommended on this site

New high quality aftermarket radiator

New belt and belt tensioner

New plugs and cleaned throttle body done by my cousin

Other than normal maintenance I do myself, air filter & oil changes every 3k miles also including transfer case front and rear diffs every 40k, and having the dealer change the tranny fluid every 40K. luckily I have a good honest Nissan dealer by me that does not rip me off I pay $99 for a tranny flush and service. This pathy has been 100% reliable. I am at 100,800 miles and not one issue. I plan of keeping it till it dies. Last year of payments so I am happy.

I have a 2010 LE that just passed 100k as well. Holding up well. Just normal maintenance.

I'll be doing the diff, trans and transfer case fluid this spring as well as tensioner, belt and struts and shocks.

Where do you live that you have a dealer that will do a transmission flush for $99? I need in on that deal!

What did you do to your Pathy? Holy crap.

I'm almost at 200,000 mi. on my 08 SE and at 170,000 mi. on my 06 LE. Timing chains have been replaced and radiators replaced, so, I should be getting a lot more miles out of both of them....knock on wood!

happened soon a I left the dealer after buying it. Some kid texting and doing 60 in a 30 zone crossed the white solid line with his f150. No major damage except for new doors, running boards and front fender. Funny his 90 F150 was totaled his daddy came to rescue and towed him away, I jacked my truck put the spare tire on and drove away. The cops fined him a few grand and 6 points on his license. Kid tried going to court to get the fines reduced and points removed I showed up with my dash cam and the cop and the judge laughed at him. Spoke to the cop turns out the kids daddy owns a very large towing company and was begging the officer now to show up at the court hearing, and the cop told him pretty much to him go pound sand. The kicker I was going to try and sue the kid for the diminished value of the Pathy because if I sell it or trade it in it will show up on carfax. However the state trooper said since there was no injuries and my suv did not need to be towed away it would not show up on carfax. I bought a carfax just for giggles and low and behold no accidents reported to carfax

I went with Spectra Premium Radiator still using the stock tranny cooler no issues so why replace it.

I just did the airlift airbags and new Bilstien shocks as most suggested on the forum on the rear. man does it ride great now. I hope to never have to deal with the timing chain guides, and if it was going to happen it would have by now. But my build and year Pathy has the new parts in it so I am not going to worry.

hows the suspension working for you?
I did the airlift and they lasted less than a year before the left started leaking.
