Output shaft bearing removal

Postby Markhopkins77 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 9:29 pm

I have to replace the rear output shaft bearing on my 98 pathfinder 4x4 a/t. I haven't been able to find any information on replacing this part. Has anyone had experience with this? From what I can tell I'm looking at splitting the case to access the bearing from the rear of the housing. Are there any special tools needed? Can I do this without pulling the transfer case? Are there any surprises I should be prepared for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
