Wobbles/Rock when letting off gas

Postby mistergentleman » Fri Jun 16, 2017 11:17 am

Hey all,

I have a 2001 LE and when I accelerate, then I ease off the gas and my truck sort of wobbles/rocks back and forth. It's a quick little jerk, wobble, then it's fine. Based on my searches, it looks like it may be the control arms, but I wanted to reach out to you guys and see if anyone has any further insight into possible issues.

Rear suspension, upper and lower link bushing failure are notorious on R50's. They'll cause them to wobble or wander all over the highway. Dorman makes complete links with a lifetime warranty, which you can get from Rockauto, however, sometimes the bolts will seize inside the bushings and will need to be cut and replaced. I would also look at the struts and shocks.
