2011 Pathfinder - Tag Light Replacement

Postby bhamdawgfan » Mon Jul 10, 2017 12:59 pm

Anyone have any helpful instructions. Pretty sure I have to remove the panel on the tailgate, but haven't been able to find any good instructions. Refuse to pay a dealer $100 to replace a light bulb. Thanks in advance.

On the early R51's, you had to remove the panel. On 2008 and later, you can just remove the screw on the outside, slide the lamp to the side and pull it out to replace the bulb. It's a #194 bulb.

As stated above, there's 2 screws on each tag lamp. Simply remove the screws, pop out the bulb "housing" and disconnect the bulb. Replace with a new one or go to LED for a nice effect at night.

Helps to have someone there to hold the hatch halfway open to give you better clearance/view of the screws. But not a requirement.

Thats ridiculous. Just like going to the dealership knowing well what needs to be replaced/fixed yet they still want to tack on a "diagnostic" fee of $50-$90.. I regret having the extended warranty because I never use it.
