Strange behavior after Air Filter change

Postby blackbeagle » Thu Sep 07, 2017 11:50 am

I have to believe the Air Filter change was the culprit.

I have a 2014 Pathfinder SL with 38K miles. I just washed the car over the weekend and decided to check my airfilter. It was dirty so I hosed it off and let it airdry. Later that evening, I put it back in and drove. The engine turned off after driving a block and the engine light, ABS light went on. So right away, I knew that the filter was the cause.

So later I bought a new K&N filter and installed. The jerky motion went away. However, when I do a sharp turn, I still get a small jerking from the transmission or engine. It doesn't feel right.

Nissan tells me that will go away. Anyone has any ideas?

Sorry to say that the jerking you describe is not due to the air filter but the CVT shudder issue that 2013-2015 Pathfinders are experiencing.

I'd find another dealer. Whenever a vehicle experiences a mechanical issue, it never goes away by itself. Have you had all of your recalls performed?
