could use some squat help!

Postby atramm » Tue Sep 19, 2017 12:24 pm

Hey all,
So I tow a 19ft travel trailer that weighs in at just around 4800lb fully loaded. So far the pathy tows it great! Only issue i am having is its squatting just enough still that people keep flashing their high beams at me at night because my headlights are shining up at them. I have a weight distribution hitch, and airlifts in the rear, and i recently did the Moog quick-struts in front. Is it just a weight distribution adjustment, or is there something else i can do to the rear to firm it up some more? I have read a few people on here do the Moog springs in the rear, thinking of doing that with my airlifts? Also seen people do V8 coils, or Armada coils... Thought?
Thanks

Your rear springs could be broken, mine were. Replaced them with Moog springs and all is good now. Helped a lot with pulling my 18 ft travel trailer and boat.

Thanks! I dont think they are broken - didnt notice anything when i put in the airlifts... but I suppose i wasnt really looking. I guess there is no harm in putting in the Moogs... will certainly be an improvement over stock anyhow! Thanks!

I had someone else do the rear spring install. Cost around $125.
