Hi every one Looking for some advice on what could I do with my transmission


It's a. Nissan pathfinder 2003 auto petrol

My car made a rumble and then I stopped I tried to go in reverse and the car wouldn't move

When I put it in to drive it goes forward but doesn't change gears

I've been told a rebuild costs $4000 for a automatic transmission

The car in the market sits at about $5000 used

I don't go off road
I don't do silly things always drive safe
Haven't had a problem with the car the 4years I have owned it

Was looking at a 2nd hand transmission that's about $2000 job all up

Are there any other options any places any one might know who would take a look at transmissions
I have called around every one is saying it's a huge big job so hard bla bla bla ......but once I tell them the tranmssions in the boot il bring you it they change the subject to something else how it's so hard to do

Is there another model car that I could put in mine is there some where some one might know to go to or is it down to paying $2000 and hoping nothing goes wrong
