Mount Ellinor/Elbe Hills

Postby docwatson » Thu Jul 20, 2017 7:37 am

Went exploring in the Pathy last weekend. Slept in the back at a campsite Thursday night and climbed Mount Ellinor. Definitely a must if you live in Western Washington.

Then wheeled it at Elbe Hills Saturday. I definitely need a locker or actual LSD for this. It did a respectable job and the guys on 40s were impressed to to watch it complete the trail we were on.

Looks like you guys had a great time wheeling and camping up in the mountains! Awesome pics as well!
What's the elevation up there?

Camped at about 700' and the summit of Ellinor is 5951' but I had driven to somewhere around 3000' before I started climbing.

Washington is great because I live just above sea level but have the Olympics to the West and the Cascades to the East with several prominent volcanoes begging to be climbed.
