Performance reduction in older engines is nowadays more due to dirty sensors, old sensors, dirty throttle body rather than blowby as in the olden days.
And all of this can be controlled with good maintenance.
(from the Maxima and 350Z forums I used to be on, I can say that VQ engines generally to not suffer significant blowby until very very high mileage,.... in an extreme case , even tho this is not a VQ but another big Nissan engine.., a well used VH45de was taken apart and was shown to still show visible honing marks! )
