I believe I answered this question somewhere before. The answer is "yes" and "no." The strut assembly will cross-fit between the V6 and V8 R51 Pathfinders, 2005-and-up Frontiers and Xterras, however, they are not the same. V8 Pathy uses a different rate coil spring than the V6 Pathfinder/Frontier/Xterra and V6 model coil springs are also different between the I4, V6 RWD and V6 4x4 models. The strut cartridges vary in pressure when comparing the V6 Pathfinder and Frontiers. So, "the same, but different." _________________ 2006 Pathfinder LE VQ40DE AWD, Nitto Dura Grappler P265/65R17, aftermarket radiator, Airlift 1000's, Bilstein HD rear shocks |

Tyanks for the quick reply!!
So I have a 2012 V6 4x4 Pathy.
And the struts (w/o the springs) are near new for good price.
They are off a 2016 Frontier PRO4X.
With this extra information what do you think? _________________ "Rifle first, Rifle last, Rifle always"

2012 Pathy 4x4 V6:
Shock absorber kit, front P/N: E6110-ZL10J
Coil spring P/N: 54010-EA011
2016 Frontier Pro4x:
Shock absorber kit, front P/N: E6110-ZP02A
Coil spring P/N: 54010-EA05B
Different part number coils and different part number struts, which would tell me it'll probably ride a lot different ("harsher" would be my guess) than your original strut assemblies. _________________ 2006 Pathfinder LE VQ40DE AWD, Nitto Dura Grappler P265/65R17, aftermarket radiator, Airlift 1000's, Bilstein HD rear shocks |

Thank you so much for this super response!
Can I trouble you for the part numbers for the non PRO4X Frontier?
(If those match the 2012 R51s then this tells me something as well. that the Bilsteins would be an upgrade.. but yet within reason close to what the stock truck might run..) just thinking... _________________ "Rifle first, Rifle last, Rifle always"

Different part number because 2016 Pro4x struts are bilstein 4600s (offroad)
Not sure what stock brand struts Nissan installed on Pathfinder. _________________ 2005 OR Pathy V6 Volant CAI----Lift-Long Travel front(5+ lift) Drop bracket rear 4" plus armada springs and spacers. 2016 Frontier (not including Pro4x):
Shock absorber kit, front P/N: E6110-ZL60A
Coil spring P/N: 54010-EA806
FYI, the non-Pro4x struts are made by KYB and are the same as the KYB Excel/GR2 on the aftermarket. The stock front suspension is pretty good on the Pathfinder; it is typically the rear that has issues because of the weak springs that are installed from the factory, which can be upgraded with a set of stock Moog replacements or going with the Airlift 1000 air bag kits. If I were to need struts on either of my Pathfinders, I will go with KYB Strut-plus strut assemblies, which come with assembled with new springs, mounts, etc. and have a limited lifetime warranty. Unless you are changing the stock ride height, there really isn't any benefit going with anything else. _________________ 2006 Pathfinder LE VQ40DE AWD, Nitto Dura Grappler P265/65R17, aftermarket radiator, Airlift 1000's, Bilstein HD rear shocks |
