Battery testing

Postby Kestral » Mon Dec 04, 2017 8:11 am

I was going to have my battery tested at one of the auto parts stores where they put some tester on the bat when it is in the truck. Is there any harm in doing this? Can it harm the electrical system in the truck?

I have no issues w/ my battery in the R51 yet but I also intend to get it tested soon.

It was in the truck when I got it 10 months ago.
No starting problems even though I often have one week intervals between starting.

I alternate my Nissan 4x4 SUVs ... one is a daily and one is a topped off to the brim partially packed get out of dodge vehicle.

Right now my R51 has sat for 6 days in these temps. I think I may start it a day early this week tommorrow morning.
Any hesitation and it gets a new battery as batteries are such a critical component.
