Cracked Manifold or Catalytic Converter - Help Identify

Postby jhg120 » Sun Jul 08, 2018 7:40 pm

So my 2011 has (2) months until the 8 year/80k miles will run up. I'm only at 62k miles, so way under that. I was replacing heat shield clamps tonight, did 6 of them, and noticed this rusted hole. I'm not sure if that's the manifold or catalytic converter, so hoping someone can chime in.

I see there are (2) of them, one on each side. Each one has similar holes like this one in the pic.

Also, is this covered under the warranty? Thanks all

That's a drain hole for your catalytic converter.

To clarify, its the drain hole on the cover of your catalytic converter.
