Neutral Position Switch

Postby Graham W » Thu Aug 09, 2018 3:14 am

With the help of this forum ive decided the NPS needs changing for my Cruise control.

The ON works but setting the cruise wont work unless some pressure on the shift to the left and held.

Was just wondering what other purpose the NPS covers?

Cheers

I've had issues with the tail light switch on the brake pedal, but wasn't aware that the gears gift safwy switch was part of the wiring for the cruise to work.

Which posts are you're erin to that pointed you in this direction?

It was posts on this forum ref cruise light but not able to set.

A post said about wiggling the shift but another post, the one I’ve found the same as mine says to push the stick over to the left (rhd)

This is I have to do to set the cruise.

Well you are probably looking in the right place.

I've had issues with the same switch, usually when my kids crawl around in the truck and move the gear shifter around. It's caused a no start situation a couple times which was resolved by, you guessed it, wiggling the shifter.

Maybe the switch is out of position?

Can the switch be repositioned then ?
