Radiators....

Postby Graham W » Fri Aug 17, 2018 4:35 am

Was reading about transmission issues and bypass etc the other day on here.

Post said about OEM Nissan rads and how to tell if been exchanged.
I did phone Nissan to asked if my 2005 Pathfinder had ever had a recall or new rad, but they said nothing on their system.

Looking at the rad this am, there are no stickers on the top, only a set of numbers >PA66-GF30< Embossed on the plastic.

Any pointers to a good thread or peace of mind would be brill.

Cheers peeps

After reading some other posts whilst continuing to hunt the forum it seems the trans/rad issue is mainly aimed at 5 speed autos?

Mines a 2005 6 speed manual ( prob a reason i cant find the dipstick to check the trans fluid colour??? )

The radiator issue mainly affects North American built, 2005-2010 Pathfinders (all of which have the 5-speed automatic transmission) and the same year Frontiers and Xterras with the V6 and automatic transmission. You don't have to worry about it.
