Ignoring cost: how would you trick out the suspension?

Ignoring cost: how would you trick out the suspension?

Postby rsmarg » Tue Nov 13, 2018 4:07 am

If money weren't an issue, how would you trick out the suspension on a 2003 Pathfinder SE 4x4?

I live in Costa Rica where the roads are brutal. I bought an '03 Pathy in San Jose back in July, but the thing never left pavement and is all stock. I live in an area where the nearest pavement is an hour away.

I've blown through 4 sets of bushings, 2 struts, and a control arm already.

I am at the point where I have to decide if I want to rig this thing up to be able to handle these roads, or sell it and go super old school Land Cruiser or the like.

If money weren't an issue (it is, but I want to remove it from this discussion to get the field of possibilities), what would you do? Shrink the wheels and increase the tires? Throw on an Old Man Emu? Lift it?

All ideas welcome. Thank you!!!

You should contact the folks at 4x4parts.com as they specialize in Nissan Off-road parts, among other things. They could give you some advice.
