Front Transfer Box Output Oil Seal

Postby Graham W » Tue Dec 04, 2018 10:45 am

You know when you think you've just caught up on those jobs, new clutch, front and rear sway bar overhaul, service.... then you look under the car to notice it looks wet under the car and notice a drip front prop...

Leaking from the Front Transfer Box Output Oil Seal leaking.

Doesn't look a big job and the local garage have quoted about an 90mins

They don't know a price for the seal itself.

Bonus is fresh oil !! lol oh lucky me !!

If it's similar to the North American models, the repair should take about 30-40 minutes and the seal isn't expensive. It's not an uncommon problem over here. I had it occur on my 2008 at around 45,000 miles.

I’m all mended and no more leaking seal.
The part from Nissan was £26 plus vat and
Didn’t take long to sort :0)
