Radiator ByPass

Postby NWPathfinder » Sun Mar 10, 2019 10:41 am

Just wanted to chime in and say thanks to @palmerwind who posted the link to the thread about the Radiator bypass.

http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic. ... 0103#90103

It helped me to determine that my Pathfinder indeed had one of the suspect Radiators. With the help of the link below I was able to do this bypass at home.

https://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f23 ... ass-42555/

I decided, for now to do the bypass and will replace the rad as time/money permits. It's still cold up here so, not concerned about overheating it for now. However, a Travel trailer is in my future so I will definitely look at replacing the Rad and putting it back the way the Factory meant it to be.

It also helped me to determine that my Transmission fluid is wayyyy overdue for a flush. I guess the previous owner, I just bought it, didn't think it was due. I will get it to my transmission guys asap!!

Anyways, just wanted to chime in and say thanks!
