Yup! Window dressing. Fancy fenders still doesn't make it an off-roader.

I wouldnt be so negative :)

First of all the wheels that come with it are smashing and clearly patterned after the Xterra/Frontier/Titan PRO4X wheels, which is a beautiful thing

And the looks are pretty good.
In a way it now reminds me a bit of a bigger badder Subaru .

All they need now is a factory lift with some skipads and they are there.
Keep in mind the R50 was unibody too and most people accept it being a good offroader :)

I agree...the Rock Creek is really only an appearance package and it works. No one buying a new Pathfinder today thinks they are buying a true off-road vehicle. I wish the wheels were 20" but I have the part numbers for the 6 piece fender covers and I intend to add them to my 2017. I don't know if they also require special attachment parts...I will check that out when I can look one over at the Dealership.

that green is also beautiful.

Definitely a candidate for AT tires.

Great find, Fred! After watching it, I can't help but wonder if Nissan is perhaps missing the boat on experimenting with making more of the components comparable with the R51, thus making it more off-road worthy. I know a lot of guys and gals on this forum would jump at the chance to buy an R52 off-roader.

The Rockcreek package is only 995 Bucks!
Thats a lot of stuff for the money (nicer seats, gorgeous wheels, blackout trim) vs the regular R52.

To me it seems more like what Nissan has as the "Blackout Edition" in the rest of its model line.

Yes it isnt a "PRO4X" type trim, but neither is it priced as such.

Bought one. Wished I could have kept my 2012 R51 S.

The salesman mostly talking about black accents and the ROCK CREEK on the body. Better fuel mileage and interior bells and whistles, back up camera etc.

I figure its good for dirt roads but I won't be taking it where the R51 was capable of. Can tow 6000 lbs so still good for towing my trailer.

Yes, sadly, it will not be as offroad as an R51...
Sometimes when I trade in an older vehicle for a new one I wonder if I should have kept the trade in as a 2nd vehicle..

Do u want to post some pics?

It must still be nice to sit in such a new and attractive vehicle?

Its very nice to have bells and whistles. Took it out off the pavement today. Crawling along dirt roads. Not like the 51 dirt roads. The img codes aren't working for me.

EDIT BY Admin: I fixed your link for you. The trick is to "open link in new tab" at ytour hosted pic and the right click on "image url"
And then paste that here and highlight with the image tab.
Otherwise you are just trying to [img] the page the pic was on..

Just chiming in, i just picked up a 19' rock creek and yea it's only an appearance package for sure but it really works. This is no off-road machine by any stretch, but with 3 kids i can tow a large pop camper and no one wants to kill each other.. works for me!

The wheels alone would be totally worth the ridiculously low price of this package just by themselves...
