driver seat disassembly?

Postby mic209 » Thu May 09, 2019 6:18 pm

My 2008 SE has the classic wear spot on the left side of the drivers seat. I was able to get a good deal on a replacement OEM cover. Is there any instructions on how to disassemble the seat?

I'm almost 100% positive that I have a link to this on my work computer :) I'll look for it in a few hours and post it if I can find it.

Thank you! I’m more interested in how to remove the plastic panels around the bottom of the seat. The rest is straightforward.

Have you checked the Nissan factory service manual? You can access it for free at Nico Club's site.

Its dead simple to take the seat out and pull apart.

Leave the electrics attached until the 4 mounting bolts are out so the seat can be moved. Do the rears 1st, then move it all the way back, cos when you undo the front it can 'fall' backwards, then let it lean back and unplug the connectors.

Once upside down the clips holding the seat covers on can be pinged off, its obvious when you see it how to do it. Couple of small screws hold the plastics on.

Then refit in reverse.

I took mine out to access the plastic heater parts under the seats, but stripped them to clean around the seats as the previous owner was a dirty minger and the leather was filthy.
At some point i will take the drivers out and pack with more foam as its gone flat, my arse it obviously fat lol !

Ok this is what I had. A link to changing the seat cushion bottom if it gets too flat. Not exactly what you were looking for, but might help some.
