Wanting to swap a turbo diesel into my rig, but got a few questions;

has anyone done it?
would it fit?
Would it be worth it?

That particular engine, I believe, was only used about 2 years....around 94-95...and was never used in the USA. Nissan hasn't had a diesel truck in the USA since the old 720 pickup was replaced by the D21 in 1986. I'm not sure how hard it would be to find one now, but the some International Scouts from 76 through 79 came with a Nissan SD33 engine, which was replaced by the SD33T in 1980. Of course, you would also need the transmission and all of the other components to go with it, so you would want to find a complete vehicle. Personally, to me it's not worth it, but if one has a lot of money and spare time, who am I to judge? While still a gas option, the upgrade to a VG33E would be a lot easier and you could always build up the performance a bit.
