Best oil

Postby Muddy WJ » Fri Dec 05, 2014 11:42 pm

Hey all. Wife bought a 14' S and need to do an oil change. Are these engines pickey on what oil to be used or is there a "better" brand? Coming from a Jeep world here. Thanks in advance.

Their not "picky." Just use 5W30. Nissan only specifies conventional oil, but many use synthetic and some swear their engines run better on it. I use Walmart's Syntech full-synthetic 5W30, which runs about $17.50/5-quart jug and is made by Royal-Shell, the makers of Rotella, and change it every 7500 miles, which is what Nissan recommends under the "normal" service schedule.

Thank you. I generally would use T5. I'm new to Import world but Love getting my hands dirty. I'm sure I'll be here with more questions.
