OEM DVD Entertainment System Install Completed! pics

Postby acomiskey » Sat Nov 01, 2008 10:09 am

I have successfully completed the installation of the OEM Nissan Rear Seat DVD Entertainment System into my 08 Pathfinder. Note: This is technically the system from an 05-07.

Another shot. Also installed a rocker switch which controls the "FES Enable" line to turn dvd/lcd on and off.

Couldn't be happier....works perfectly. Audio is available through OEM wireless IR headphones, or through bose by selecting AUX.

Very Nice!

Where did you run the wires between the screen and dvd player? I was looking to buy the screen and mount and hook it up to an aftermarket HU.

Looks good!

Ran the wires straight across to the driver side pillar, down and underneath the carpet and came out under center console.

How much was the actual DVD player? I might be interested in the LCD if I can get the DVD player & console guts for a good price.

DVD player can be had on ebay..one sold the other day for 26 bucks, but normally about 150. Just try and get one with the pigtails.

I have another console interior...I ordered 2 by accident...that will be selling for about 70.

Hmm, thanks for the info. I'll have to ponder it over. Ideal for me would be something that I could remove from the vehicle and use elsewhere, such as a tent.

Dvd player has inputs but no output unfortunately. Only option would be to splice into composite video and audio wires leading to lcd.

can you watch dvd's on the front nav screen when it park? We used to be able to do this on our Subaru Tribeca, was really nice, never got around to unlocking it for watching while in drive...

You can do this in the 08 models. Mine is an 08 but has parts from 05-07 which does not do this.
