4 link would be nice but gas tank might get in the way.
Leaf springs are cheaper and easier.

Front titan brake lines.

Yeah front brake lines is what i meant!

Speaking of front brakes...I wonder if a Titan or Armada front brake setup would be an upgrade? With the 35's, I find even the EBC Yellowstuff brakes could be better.

OK so I looked at the rear suspension this morning and I think only going up 2" is what i need. (For level or slightly forward rake)

I don't think that's enough to warrant different brake lines either, which is good.

My plan is to get the 2x2x1/4" steel tubing and simply drill holes through both sides where the bolts would go, as you did. But since it's only 2" I think just some longer bolts would work.
the upper are metric m14x 1.50 bolts.
What length were the stock bolts, do you remember?

I want to say 4" make sure they are grade 8 since there is a gap in the middle.

I don't mean to revive an old thread. Thupertrooper you seem to have done a lot since we last spoke.

Hows it going David.
I have been busy the past couple months starting to ease off a little.

No build thread on the front haven't had time to post pictures up.

The actually parts are made. The bottom arm are titans that have been extended 4" and boxed. Uppers are custom length and width to clear coil bucket.

The CVs are stock but the center half shafts are RCV performance 4340 chromolly.

Stock extended length Radflo coilovers.

Just getting around to doing this project.

Quick question:
Extended brake lines from the front of a titan
Was that part from Nissan or was it from an aftermarket vendor?

I would go ahead and get the cheapest steel braided line from prg,nisstec,4x4parts for the front of xterra/frontier.

The one i used was from autozone but i had to bend it since titans have it backwards

It will save you some headahes.
Use loctite on the bolts as mine came loose and lost some lol. I ended up welding the brackets to the frame.

Thanks for the info! :)

Had the 4x4 shop by me cut some 2x2 steel and drill the holes for me.
Gonna paint it tomorrow and try to find the right size bolts at Lowes!
Otherwise I'll have to order them from somewhere online.

OK time to order some steel braided lines!

The 2" suspension drop is done! 8)
It wasn't the easiest mod and I had to do a little research to find the right bolts. But definitely worth the effort!

I tracked the 2 different size bolts down at Fastenal, which I'll share here:
4 - M14-1.5 x 160mm DIN 960 Class 10.9 ( Grade 8 ) Plain Finish Hex Cap Screw. Fastenal Part No. (SKU): 11113295
2- M14-1.5 x 130mm DIN 960 Class 8.8 ( Grade 5 ) Plain Cap Screw Fastenal Part No. (SKU): MH2690130PF0000

NOTE: The 160mm bolts were a bit too long as the threads only come down about an inch. So I had to use 4 or 5 big washers to make it fit. In retrospect, the 130mm bolts would have been the right length for all of them.

I also bought the 3" longer stainless steel brake lines from 4x4 Parts.
And flushed out the old brown Dot3 brake fluid with some fresh Dot4 while I was there!

I definitely recommend this mod instead of doing the 2" spacer.
You get to keep full articulation (or as much as your RFS will allow) and that's a good thing!
