Does anyone know of any fuel sending problems Pathfinders

Postby jokertand » Fri Dec 19, 2008 7:46 pm

My 2006 pathfinder won't start and I was told that it had to do with the fuel sensors or sending unit. Does anyone have any helpfull info on this kind of issue? Please help with any info or experiences that might be related. Thanks a lot.

This is a very common problem for almost any Nissan. Here is a link to the part. Part Code 25060Y. Top left hand side.

Nissan has issues with the fuel level sending unit (like cnpart1 stated). You will see errant readings on the fuel gauge. Right now, my fuel gauge is below E even though I just dropped 18 gallons into it.

The fuel level sending unit problem, in and of itself, should not prevent the vehicle from starting and running unless you ran the fuel tank dry. I ran the tank dry because the fuel level sending unit was defective and caused the fuel gauge to show a 1/4 tank. The truck started and ran fine after I added fuel.
