I have a 94 pathfinder XE. Automatic. sometimes I start the car, put it in drive and it starts out in high gear...i have to turn the engine off and then put it in D and it starts normal in low and shifts normally. what would cause that? _________________ If it can't be fixed with a hammer, It's probably an Electrical problem. |

Mine does this too. I have been working on this issue for over a year.
Does you temp gauge work?
Have you bypassed the stock amps?
Does your speedo bounce some of the time when this happens? |

Fail safe mode allows the transmission to drive in high gear only, so, I would check for transmission trouble codes. The procedure is in the factory service manual. _________________ 2006 Pathfinder LE VQ40DE AWD, aftermarket radiator, Airlift 1000's, Bilstein HD rear shocks, Doug Thorley shortie headers and mid-pipes, Magnaflow 12580 muffler, aFe Momentum GT CAI w/ dry filter, XTP plenum spacer, Superchips Flashpaq tuner |
