Washers not working on R51 Pathfinder - 2011

Postby treecrest14 » Fri Mar 10, 2017 7:38 pm

The Washer Motor is running but no water is coming out of the nozzles. Tank has water and no water is leaking. Checked fuses for washer - OK. Possibly the motor as nozzles are not blocked. How to replace Washer Motor?

R51 Pathfinder - 2011.

Nissan doesn't sell "just the washer motor." They only offer it as part of the washer tank assy. for around $100+shipping online. Rockauto.com has an Anco pump they list for this vehicle, but I would imagine there may be some "rigging" needed to get it to work, like most universal parts. To replace it, you need to remove the fill neck from the engine compartment side. Then, remove the right-front wheel, mud flap and inner fenerwell liner (make sure you have some new plastic clips, because they will probably break when you remove them). Once you get the liner out of the way, it will be fairly obvious what you need to do. Unplug the motor and disconnect the hose and I believe there are two or three, 10MM head bolts that keep the tank in place. Reverse to install.
