Pathfinder Flywheel Bolts

Postby 1995_Pathy » Sat Mar 25, 2017 12:36 pm

I am stumped. I can't seem to access the flywheel bolts through the starter hole as every online forum and instruction manual I have looked at tells me to do.
I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder with the VG30E engine and infamous RE4R01A transmission.
To me, there seems to be a lot of things interfering with the removal. The big issue is that the flywheel bolts are located way too far inward to get a wrench-let alone a socket wrench-on.

Any help?

With the starter out of the way, you use a universal socket on a long extension and ratchet to remove the bolts from near the front of the engine. It's a lot easier on a lift, getting it from under the vehicle.
