2006 pathfinder trek blower stopped working.

Postby Pathfinder Trek » Wed Jun 21, 2017 4:11 am

Good afternoon
I'm new to the forum and would appreciate any advice regards the heater blower on my Vehicle had been parked up for a few weeks started ok as usual but when the heater fan speed switch was turned nothing happened!.Am struggling to find an identifiable fuse can anyone point me in the right direction? Is this a common fault?
Thanks in anticipation. :D

There are two places where they put the fuses. One is in the IDPM on the right side of the engine compartment and the other is behind a removable panel on the right side of the glove box that is hidden when the glove box door is closed. I would start by taking a 12V test light and checking for power at the blower fan harness connector with the key "on" and the heater fan turned "on." If you have power, jumped the terminals of the harness connector using the test light, which will tell you if there is ground. If you have power and ground and the fan's not working, the fan motor is faulty. Try banging on it a few times; that sometimes will get them working.
