Researching 2005 to 2012 Pathfinders for purchase

Postby Ardvark13 » Sat Aug 12, 2017 10:54 am

Hello everyone.
I am researching 2005 to 2012 pathfinders, for purchase around June of next year. I'm kind of concerned about getting a vehicle with really high mileage.
What mileage is to high, in everyone's opinion. Also I am looking at the 4wd models, and plan on doing the rancho lift kit on it as well.

Mileage isn't so much an issue, at least not so much as the year of the vehicle because of certain problems with them and how the vehicle was maintained by the previous owner. If you can afford a 2011 or 2012 model, that would be the best year to get, in my opinion. 2005-2010 models were prone to radiator cooler failures that could ruin the automatic transmission, fuel sending unit issues and upper timing chain issues; not all of them had these problems, but many did. 2005-2006 were the most trouble-prone model years. A Carfax report would probably be a good idea to see what has been done in the vehicle's past.
