From 2001 through 2006, Nissan used the NGK PLFR5A-11 (Stock # 6240) in the Pathfinder VQ engines. It's their "Laser Platinum" series. In 2007, they switched to the NGK DILFR5A11 (Stock # 93759) plug, which is their "Laser Iridium" series plug. Both perform the same until 105,000 miles, the Laser Platinum being several dollars cheaper per plug. I've used the Laser Platinums in my 2008 and have put over 100,000 miles on them (I have 226,000 miles on the vehicle) and have noticed no difference in performance nor gas mileage compared to the Laser Iridiums. The only advantage I see in using the Laser Iridiums is if you should run way past the 105,000 mile interval before replacing them.AZ_Path wrote:Do you know which plugs are used on the '08s? I'm just at 105k and was planning to replace the them per the recommended interval.
