Don't know about that lift, but the brand is from Australia, so I would expect it to be quality stuff. I do have their awning mounted on my pathfinder and I'm impressed with the quality of it.

Dobinsons 2 inch lift kit

Yeah, I did some research and they've been around since the 50s! Have garages all over Australia and have some cool looking sponsored rigs. I think I'm going to be the guinea pig and try them out. The only weird thing I found was their warranty on the shocks is voided if you change your exhaust...confusing but I guess I'll save money there...lol

update

So I ordered the kit plus a pair of new Dobinsons Strut Top Plates today...should be here in a week! Will post pictures of the install and the before and after height difference. With the 2005 and 2 inch lift I should not need the camber kit riiight?

You will most likely need the camber kit for the front and rear. Also an alignment. After installing my spacer lift I was able to align the front myself since my r51 came with the bolts. I ended taking it in to have a professional alignment when my rear tires started to wear on unevenly.

You must have gotten the last lift kit. It now shows out of stock on Amazon.com

Look forward to your pictures of the install.

My OME setup is getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm contemplating having it all replaced with the Dobinsons springs & shocks. Their lift is 40-45mm which, if I remember correctly, is a bit less than the OME. I'm still compiling a list of parts, but here are the main items so far:

C45-254, front coil springs
GS45-642, front strut
C45-255, rear coil springs
GS45-643, rear shock

Price for the above is in the $700 range. However, I got my quote straight from Dobinsons USA:

I have to say that they will answer any question you have, even if it means researching it.

The Amazon link listed above is for those with extra weight on the front (winch, bumper, etc.). Here are a few more details on the springs & compared to OME springs:

Front coil:

OME607, 370mm free height, 480lb rate

Dobinsons C45-254, 385mm free height, 541lb rate

Dobinsons C45-252, 365mm free height, 541lb rate

Rear coil:

OME609, 440mm free height, 390lb rate

Dobinsons C45-255, 440mm free height, 392lb rate

Still trying to figure out which one to get for the front without any additional weight. I don't want massive rake & I also don't want to be any taller in the front than I am now. Rears match up perfectly, which means the resulting lift should be very similar to the OME, which is right around 2".[/b]

I ended up ordering new struts and shocks only, no coils. I did a fairly close inspection of my coils and they look fine, aside from the obvious rust, wear & tear. The Dosinsons coil for the rear is identical to that from OME, so that isn't a problem. But, the coil options for the front have higher weight specs than I felt comfortable with trying.

Oh, and all of those alignment issues people had with the OME lift carries over to all the Australian brands (Ironman, Dobinsons, etc.). Why? Because they were all made for the diesel R51, not the petrol v6, and the diesels are all heavier.
