'New' 18" Wheels and Tires: Frontier SAP and Michelins

Postby TooMuchControl » Sat Mar 11, 2023 2:19 pm

Well, I had to come to a decision on tires, and I could not pass up a good deal.

I was strongly considering purchasing Michelin Defender LTX M/S, or the (X LT A/S from Costco) as one of my options.

In the last last week, lucked out up finding a Costo branded takeoff set for $700 CAD ($500 USD), half price of new. They came in the upsize I wanted that others have liked, 265 65 18
DOT 4722, so they are basically as new as you can get, complete tread

Some months ago, I fell in love with the rare charcoal Frontier Sports Appearance Package rims.
I was able to grab an almost perfect set for $650 USD via car-part.com.

I'm very happy with this combination. The grey rims just seem to modernize the whole vehicle, somewhat, and the Michelins, in this size look quite blocky.

There's a guy on another forum selling a set for $500. He's in Romansville, PA, but I presume you could contact him and prearrange your own shipping.

Mine are the Frontier Sports Appearance Package rims.

The thread that convinced me was this one:

Paulny61 Frontier in particular...
