Loose hose in engine bay

Postby Fryguy22 » Mon Apr 09, 2018 6:28 pm

Hey all. I'm trying to diagnose a cooling system issue. My 2005 Pathfinder with 110k miles on the clock was overheating the other day and I noticed the coolant levels were very low. No puddling or obvious leaks. I refilled with coolant and couldn't spot an external leak. While poking around I noticed a "loose" hose around the engine oil dipstick area. It looks like it may run to the front diff. Is this a diff fill hose? Is it something else that became disconnected? Image[/img]

If it attaches to the side of the air box it's a vent for the front diff.

Ah, that's good to know. I was wondering what that was as well.
