Gearbox/transfer box breather

Postby Graham W » Tue Sep 11, 2018 11:37 am

Cleaned the MAF on my truck this afternoon,
Wanted to check condition of the air filter so thought 2 in 1 job.
Went to put the lid back on and there was a random pipe floating about.

Traced it to the gearbox/transfer box.
Surely it should be up high or clipped on to something?
Will post image if required

Cheers peeps

I have 3 of them at that position and they go to auto transfer case, front diff and central transmission box. I did stretch them all a bit and positioned them few inches higher. Originally they were clipped together with a 4-way clip to - I think - turbo vacuum pipe?

For the 4th breather (rear diff) I took new hose and lined it up into cavity behind rear left light assembly.
